This Cooperation Forum represents a platform to identify, discuss and develop joint strategic ICT research projects of mutual benefit to the European Union and Japan.

The 2008 EU-Japan Cooperation Forum on ICT Research takes place on March 4-5, 2008 in Tokyo and is co-organised by the European Commission (DG Information Society and Media), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and the Ministry of Foreign Affaires (MOFA), with the support of a support action, coordinated by Orionis (www.orionis.com) and funded by the European Commission (DG Infso) under the 6th Framework Programme for research and technological development (FP6).
This Cooperation Forum represents a platform to identify, discuss and develop joint strategic ICT research projects of mutual benefit to the European Union and Japan.
The event targets European and Japanese organisations (multinationals, SMEs, academia, research institutes & laboratories, etc.) interested in the development of S&T cooperation projects in the ICT field.
